Tan Son Nhat International Airport, also known as Ho Chi Minh City Airport, is the main international airport in Saigon as well as the busiest in the country. Serving in the capacity of a major aviation hub, the airport caters to both international and domestic flights en route to and from Saigon. IATA has assigned the code SGN to be used for this airport.

Tan Son Nhat International Airport is located at a distance of approximately 4 mi or 6 km north of the city centre. Taxis can easily be hailed from the left upon exiting the airport terminal.
