The local tuk tuks do not operate directly from the airport premises. However, if you are seeking to avail a cheaper mode of travel, the tuk tuks would be a feasible option but would need you to walk a small distance to the main road outside of the airport. This will be approximately a 100 meter walk. 

Many of Luang Prabang's guesthouses also offer pick and drop services via air-conditioned minivans. Check with your hotel at the time of booking in order to avail this service. 

Luang Prabang is small enough to make exploring by foot a viable option. At other times, the local tuk tuks are commonly used in many cities of Laos including Luang Prabang.
