As UK continues to be affected by heavy snow and adverse weather conditions Emirates airline flights to and from UK, Ireland and Scotland are affected at large. In a recent release by the Middle East, Dubai based airline, it is stated that London Gatwick remains closed with all flights on Tuesday 1st December being cancelled or diverted to Heathrow. Also there are rare chances for Gatwick to be operational on Friday, as high snowfall is forecasted Thursday night. Gatwick did open for a while in the morning today, though high volume of air traffic and disruptions continued during the day.
Emirates Airline passengers arriving at Gatwick Airport for today’s flights were transported to Heathrow but any passengers due to depart from Gatwick who have not yet departed for the airport were advised to make their way to Heathrow last night.
Also, as per latest information released by Emirates airline, flights from the UK are subject to delays due to the adverse weather conditions. Any passengers that are due to travel from the UK in the 36 hours of December 01, 2010 can change their flight (outbound and return) provided the same booking class and fare is available. New travel date should be up to 05 Dec only. Any passengers wishing to cancel will incur normal cancellation charges, according to Emirates Leisure Fares department.
