Air Berlin has added another flight route to its schedule after announcing to start a weekly flight from La Palma to Nuremberg. The flight will be accommodated on a 186-seater Boeing 737-800. Air Berlin already offers 18 different flight routes from German Airports and 5 different routes from Spain.
This is at par with the German Airline’s bid to increase its revenues so as to back up the level of its expected profits. News circulating the airline industry is that Air Berlin has not been able to attain the profit levels in the current third quarter as it had done so back in 2013. This, after the losses it experienced in the first half of this year, has come as a headache for the German airline.
However, the company is not going to make radical changes to deal with it. It has now announced a strategy to perform all of its operations in a more efficient manner in the same business segments so as to increase productivity and hence its profits
