China’s premier carrier, known for offering flight services to Chinese ministers, public figures and politicians, Air China has gone to a whole new level in offering cheap flights to China along with convenient shuttle services at domestic level. Now Air China travelers can not only get direct flights to Beijing but also book the airline’s shuttle and save themselves from high charges of hotel or private airport pickups.
Zhou Enyong, General Manager of Air China’s Marketing Department, stated at this occasion:
“Air China’s new flight-shuttle bus combined ticket brings more flexibility to the hub network. It is just the latest example of how Air China strives to provide more innovative services to passengers and make their lives more comfortable.”
The shuttle service tickets can be booked along with the flight tickets as the carrier is now offering them as part of the itinerary. Air China passengers can book combined tickets for flight plus shuttle services.
This new combined flight-shuttle bus ticket will connect Tianjin via shuttle bus with domestic flights passing through Beijing. The service will later be expanded to hub cities such as Shanghai and Chengdu, connecting them via shuttle bus to their peripheral cities and International airports. Also, the combined route includes two parts: an Air China flight; and the shuttle bus, which is also given a flight number. The shuttle bus from Beijing to Tianjin, for example, has flight numbers of CA9001 and CA9003.
Air China also offers domestic and regional flights such as flights to Guangzhou, Shenzhen and flights to Shanghai from International airports via Beijing, the capital of China.
The service will make it much more convenient for air china travelers to connect with other hub cities throughout the county. Before the launch of a combined itinerary, travelers transferring to or from a shuttle bus had to fill out a form to carry on their journey. However the new service allows them to check, book and buy combined tickets on Air China for a smooth and hassle free journey. For instance, if a passenger from Tibet wants to fly to Tianjin, he can buy a combined ticket on Air China’s website and get to his destination just by showing his ID card.
