Air LAN has recently amended its fare lists by making changes in its previously announced seasonality. Here, let me clarify that seasonality refers to the travel times or days specifies as low season, shoulder season and high season. As the names indicate, low season is the travel time which is less busy as there are no official or Government holidays during that time.
Therefore travel is less and the flights are cheaper to clear the stocks. The shoulder season is in between low and high season when flights are neither too expensive nor cheap or at SALE. Lastly, during holiday months as in December and July, since many people travel so due to shortage of availability fares goes up.
In the recent update Air LAN has specified the following changes that are valid from 07th March 2011 onwards.
Low Season: 29 December to 26 June and 15 August to 30 November
High Season: 27 June to 14 August and 01 December to 28 December
These changes in seasonality are valid for flights to Peru, the destinations of IGU, IPC and flights to Bolivia. The airline states that all other fares remain the same. For all existing bookings affected by the changes in seasonality, the airline stated that all relevant tickets should be issued by Monday March 21 inclusive.
LAN Airlines S.A. is based in the city of Santiago, Chile South America. The carrier operates under IATA code (LA) and offers flights to a variety of destinations around the world.
