In a recent press release by the Air Zimbabwe Board and Management, the carrier has advised its customers that while negotiations to find a solution are still underway with its Pilots and the airline is trying its best to restore normal operations, so far only the regional route of Air Zimbabwe has been restored. The airline has started flight operations between Harare, Zimbabwe and Johannesburg, South Africa and will offer flights on this route on coming Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday with the normal flight schedule until unless advised otherwise.
The airline further stated that meanwhile, it is still looking for alternative solutions on its International and domestic routes. Air Zimbabwe is constantly sending updates utilizing all possible channels including Twitter and regular emails to its travel agencies and consolidators. The airline has also requested the customer’s contact information from travel agents where Air Zimbabwe was not the primary source point of making booking cheap flights to Harare. The airline also stated to continue updating the public as further developments will take place.
Air Zimbabwe customers who have directly booked their flights with the airline or are seeking most recent, accurate and up to date information about air Zimbabwe pilots strike and flight cancellations are advised to contact the airline directly for more information.
The Air Zimbabwe Board and Management also apologized to its valued customers and the public for the inconveniences caused by the cancellation and disruption of flights.
