US national carrier American Airlines has recently launched flights to Manchester from New York City JFK airport. Although, initially the route was announced as a summer service from May but now will be operated in April 2011 instead. But due to high demand in both countries for Manchester to New York flights, American Airways has now made the service year round and will operate two non-stop flights a day.
Also, American Airways (AA) has said to use a Boeing 757-200s aircraft with 182 seats on this route.
American Airways vice president sales and marketing – EMEA, Maria Sebastian stated at this occasion:
“Since the route was launched in May 2010, literally thousands of customers have flown with us non-stop to New York and beyond.”
The airline’s this new service is warmly welcomed at the Manchester airport UK. The Airport’s Managing Director said:
“American Airlines is our longest serving American carrier from Manchester Airport, having operated continuously for 25 years.” He further added: “I’m delighted that the New York JFK service was so successful that it’s not only starting earlier than planned but will be operating a year round schedule from 2011.”
American Airways will therefore, connect the two financial capitals with each other making traveling and business easier. The airline also operates interconnecting, domestic and regional flights onwards to destinations in both South and North Americas. American Airline or AA’s most popular routes are flights to Chicago, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Orlando, Washington, Mexico city, Miami and nearly throughout the continent.
