Malaysian Airline and Dutch carrier KLM have expressed plans to come together and fortify the connection between Netherland’s capital Amsterdam and Kuala Lumpur, the capital and business hub of Malaysia.
KLM and Air France is Europe’s biggest alliance and is the most widely used airline for flights in Europe. The airlines also operate flights to the Far East such as flights to Bangkok, however, there some of the most popular routes are Flights from London Heathrow to Nairobi, Kenya Africa.
KLM and Malaysia’s leading airline Malaysian Airways have shared their understanding of the importance of a route between Malaysia and the Netherlands. Peter Harman, CEO of KLM and Tengku Dato’ Sri Azmil Zahruddin, CEO of Malaysian Airlines have signed a memorandum of understanding to “further strengthen the excellent collaboration” of the two airlines and their hubs destinations.
At this occasion, KLM CEO Mr Harman stated: “This partnership is an ideal opportunity to expand the number of Australasian destinations we offer our customers”.
However, the carriers have yet not released a detailed report on the specifics of the collaboration but it is obvious that both airlines aim at offering improved connectivity, better schedules and more choice for passengers.
Mr Harman further added: “Malaysia Airlines enjoys a deserved reputation for consistent and high-quality service, both on the ground and in the air, and so is a natural partner for KLM.”
The airlines are a good match for collaborations and hopefully, will be of high importance in offering cheap flights to Kuala Lumpur from Europe.
