British Airways Acts Socially

Team work is something without which we can say, no organization or company can lead to its goals. British Airways a name of excellence also focused on that as a social responsible airline is someone on which people can trust blindly because if an airline that keeps check on environment. Then it is obvious that it will be reliable to its customers. A national carrier of United Kingdom, British Airways has introduced new strategies to cut down their fuel bills so by fulfilling this goal they started an online suggestion box and get suggestions from their staff members, pilots,engineers, cabin crew and other staff more than 200 suggestions were received.

Last year British Airways saved enough fuel so that they can fly 550 planes from London Heathrow to New York which was a quite big accomplishment for them. Some of the suggestions are that they should replace glasses with plastic wine bottles, others are that they can reduce amount of water from water tanks to cut down the weight and some other suggestions were also carried out which resulted in a great profit of 600,000to airline. Total of over $20million.

British airways are also working for some other major improvements in 2012 by replacing heavy catering trolleys, headsets and cargo containers. A special aerodynamic paint is used on Boeing 777 which leads to a great reduction in fuel and they are also planning to work on net carbon discharge in future years.
