Emirates airline has recently established an interline contract with Fly Dubai. Fly Dubai is a low cost carrier of Dubai which inaugurated first flight on 1st Jun 2009. Government based airline was announced in 2008 and ordered 50 Boeing and their personnel announced Fly Dubai will recruit 600 pilots by 2016. Now it is easier and affordable to travel on number of Fly Dubai routes via Dubai. Emirates International fare rules will be applicable on Fly Dubai sectors. Passengers arriving in to Dubai on an Emirates flight need to make their way to the central transfer desk in Terminal 3 (also known as transfer desk ‘K’) and passengers.
Who arrive in to Dubai on a Fly Dubai flight need to make their way to the transfer desk in Terminal 2. At either desk, the passenger will be given a boarding pass for the onward journey (if one wasn’t given at time of check-in at the start of the journey). The passenger then continues through security to board a bus for the relevant terminal. On arrival they then head to the departure gate for the connecting flight.
Checked-in Baggage
All checked-in baggage is through-checked to the passengers’ final destination and the Emirates Baggage allowance also applies on the Fly Dubai sectors however FZ coupons must only reflect standard 20kgs allowance.
Max of 30kgs for Economy class, 40kgs for Business class and 50kgs for First class except for markets where the piece concept prevails in which case passengers will be allowed to carry 2 pieces of checked-in luggage with each piece not exceeding 23kgs (or 50lbs).
Travel Season is valid between Dates 9th Jun 2011 – 31 Mar 2012.
