Etihad Airways have laid down prospects for increasing the frequency of Brisbane-bound flights from Abu Dhabi by the start of February next year. Currently the airlines’ flight schedule in partnership with Virgin Australia stands to 3 flights per week, which has been under consistent operations since October 2007.
Owing to the phenomenal rise in occupancy of seats over the past couple of years this specific air route will be implicated on a daily routine, thus establishing Qatar Airways with a firm footprint in the competitive markets connecting these three regions.
Qatar Airways already boasts a phenomenal influence in Australia, with the country hosting two of its aircraft maintenance facilities. Brisbane, being Queensland’s capital, ranks 2nd on the airlines’ priority list within the country.
Singapore’s ‘tiger’ economy has surfaced it to be a commercial and tourist success, garnering it a prestigious esteem among global destinations. The round trip from Abu Dhabi to Brisbane and back will stop by Singapore on both ways. This initiative was in line with fostering diplomatic relations between the Emirates of Abu Dhabi and the government of Queensland. Etihad Airways currently operates an Airbus A330-200 aircraft on this route.
