June is here, finally! The month is synonymous with the taking brief city breaks or a month-long vacation if you have the funds. It is understandable to check your wallet every time you think of having a holiday, since airline tickets tend to be expensive, especially to cities outside Europe. Knowing that our clients tend to look for the cheapest flights available, we have listed down five cities for you to visit. Travelling to these cities this June would not bore a hole through your pocket. Just go through the article and see if it changes your mind about not going on a summer escape trip this year. There are a few reasons why the June 2020 vacation season is going to be a breath of fresh air.
The list below is of the destinations that have experienced, or by our estimates, will experience a sharp decline in the ticket price this June 2020.
Amsterdam, Netherlands
City Breaks are the best. You can quickly drop your pets at a friend’s place, leave for the weekend and be back on Monday without requesting a day off from work. For city breaks, Amsterdam tops the list for obvious reasons – its fun and its close-by. It takes only an hour for a passenger to be in Amsterdam from London. While the tickets usually are around £120, this month the price has come down to only seventy quid. Come on, everyone deserves a June city break, and with a round trip flight to Amsterdam for just £70, certainly, this is doable and enjoyable. The weather is outstanding this time of the year, and with a dozen events happening in Amsterdam, it is best to come with sunblock because you would be out and about the city the entire stretch of your trip. Relax, unwind, visit the Van Gogh Museum or have a drink, or two or three.
Paris, France
Paris has not lost its charm. To some, Paris is probably too close to home to designate it as a vacation, but for those on a budget, a holiday to Paris is a godsend. A ticket to Paris usually costs around £150 for a round trip flight, but this June the price has dropped down to just £99. The Eiffel tower peers over the boulevards of Paris to bless all those who rekindle their love by coming to this city in June. Paris, after all (even though it’s a cliché) is the most romantic city in the world, and perhaps it’s time for you and your partner to pay a visit. If you are an academic at heart, visit the Louvre Museum and become inspired by the Renaissance painters of old. A crackling freshly baked croissant and sparkling champagne are some of the delights one should experience only in Paris this June.
Barcelona, Spain
More people leave for Spain from the UK than to any other destination over the summer break. Head to Barcelona to refill your dwindling reserves of vitamin D in your body and have a fantastic vacation. This year all those Britons leaving for Barcelona have hit the jackpot as the airfare has dropped significantly. Last year the price of a London to Barcelona ticket was around £200, but this year the cheapest Barcelona ticket available is no more than £150 to £160. The Catalans are finally inching closer to finishing the Sagrada Familia Cathedral, and it is a sight to behold. There are no raves or dance parties that are as bombastic as those in Barcelona, with internationally acclaimed DJ spinning the beats all night. Let’s go to Barcelona and join the fun.
Sao Paulo, Brazil
Sao Paulo is the city of two extremes: the city is Brazil’s business capital and a regional hub of pleasure tourism. In the southern hemisphere, the seasons are flipped, so June is part of the winter season in Sao Paulo – a winter that we all wish we could get here in the United Kingdom. The sun keeps shining bright, with temperatures never escaping the 20°C to 24°C range – the best time for that mild Brazilian warmth the skin desires. As far as the airfare goes, it has come down by £150 to just £620 for the cheapest ticket to Sao Paulo. The Sao Paulo carnival happens in March, but there are plenty of other festivals happening in Sao Paulo in June 2020 including the Guns n’ Roses, Bon Jovi and AC/DC rock concert.
Sydney, Australia
Everybody yearns to see the white shell arches of the Sydney Opera house. Well, this June is your best chance with a reduced airfare of just £710 for a cheap London to Sydney round trip flight this June. These flights also have only one stopover, which makes it even more convenient for the tourist to explore Australia this month. June in Sydney is a bit chilly so, travelling to the Australian city is only for those who would like a Christmassy summer vacation or who plan on having a family reunion. Many of our clients have called us already for a cheap ticket to Sydney and fortunately got even lower prices for their trips than the one quoted above. So, call us and try your luck. Who knows you might end up with a £500 UK to Sydney ticket this June.
