Holiday season proves a good luck for AF-KLM, the biggest airline group in the UK. The airlines have reported a 4.3% increase in their air traffic for the month of November, in comparison to last year. Air France and KLM airline’s joint airlines also declared that their load factor rose by 1.1% reaching 79.1% and their capacity is up to 2.9% increased. The airlines have also said that they have welcomed 5.68million passengers on board during the month which is 4.7% higher than 2009 statistics.
Air France and Royal Dutch KLM Airline are one of the top league airlines in Europe operating flights to nearly all six inhabited continents around the globe. Air France flies via Paris while KLM flies via Amsterdam, Netherlands.
KLM-AF flights to Cape Town, Johannesburg, Lagos, Accra, Lusaka, Bali, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok and major European destinations are the most popular routes while the airline has also seen a high tide in traffic to Asia with a 6.8% increase in traffic, a 6.4% rise in capacity and a 0.6% hike in the total load factor for the month. The traffic in Europe also rose significantly, while a 0.7% drop in load factor is noted on its flight route to America.
Considering the above statistics, it can easily be predicted that the rise in Air Traffic this December will be far more encouraging for the joint carrier. As December is the peak holiday season all around in Europe and USA, AF-KLM flights to far east and warmer African destinations are likely to be high on sale.
