The Amman based airline that operates chartered and scheduled flights, Jordan Aviation is ready to celebrate its welcome in the International skies after getting its Airline Operator’s Certificate.
The AOC (Airline Operator’s Certificate) issued by the Jordan’s Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC) has given Jordan Aviation Airline full authority to launch regular international flights. The carrier now owns the license and a fleet of 17 aircraft and operates flights to over 50 Arab and International destinations.
The airline’s current route map includes flights to Bangkok, Bali, Bahrain, Alexandria, Baghdad, Amman, Aqaba, Doha, Damascus, Istanbul, Dubai, Delhi, Kathmandu and Hong Kong. The airlines fleet includes Airbus A310-222 with a seating capacity of 234, Airbus A310-304 seating capacity 240, Boeing 737-300 configured with around 148 seats, Boeing 737-400 with 168 to 170 seats and Being 767-200 having 266 to around 290 seats installed.
Jordan Aviation is likely to be a good competitor in the market of International flights between Europe and the Far East, having Jordan as a midway stopover. The attractions of Jordan itself are very appealing to western travellers. This ancient country is well known for the treasures of Jordan Valley, Wadi Rum, the Castle of Ajlon, Karak, Petra, Umm Qais, Umm Al Jimal, Hammamat Ma’in / Ma’in Hot Springs, Desert Castles, Iraq Al Amir and the Dead Sea. Also, in comparison to other destinations of such stature, Jordan is much cheaper and has a good number of world-renowned top accommodations.
