Since the Abuja Carnival popularity, Nigeria has gained a reputation as a travel and tourism destination of Africa. The country’s national airline Arik Air has played a vital role in not only making Nigeria an easily accessible destination for Western Traveler, but also, by making travel affordable by offering cheap flights to Lagos.
Until now the only competitors in the travel market were British Airways and Arik Air offering cheap Lagos flights, connections to Port Harcourt, Abuja and other cities but not anymore. The competition is reaching its peak as a new competitor is making its entry in the scene of Nigeria Aviation and Travel Industry. This is none other than Kenya Airways. A well established, well reputed and strong airline that has a record of making its way through competitors and taking the top place in any market it has entered.
Where this progress means a heightened competition between airlines in the race of providing the cheapest flights to Lagos, this also is nothing less than good news for seekers of cheap flights fares. Now, Kenya Airways has a Nigerian Government Approval to operate 14 flights a week to Lagos and four flights to Abuja every week as well.
At the occasion of this pleasing announcement, the airline’s CEO stated that the passengers will prefer to book Kenya Airways flights when they know that they can catch a flight at Nairobi.
