The German airline Lufthansa (LH) has recently welcomed its new A380 aircraft, manufactured by Airbus and already reckoned in top, most recent and advanced passenger planes in the market. This giant will be flying to San Francisco (LAX), California from May 10, 2011.
Although it’s not the only Airbus, in Lufthansa’s massive fleet but as it’s flying on one of the most popular routes in the US. Lufthansa’s A380 is making news worldwide as this will make Lufthansa Airline, the first and only carrier operating an A380 service to and from San Francisco International Airport.
The flights to San Francisco are assigned flight number LH454 and LH455. The A380 Airbus is replacing Boeing 747-400 and will be flying daily to/from San Francisco. However, the good news is that the change of craft, is not affecting the ticket price.
Also, the carrier will soon extend its list of destinations operated by A380 and will launch flights to many other destinations around the globe. According to Mr. Peter Pollak, General Manager UAE and Director Gulf, Lufthansa German Airlines:
“Lufthansa connects the UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain and Qatar with 21 destinations in the USA and Canada and countless more in cooperation with its Star Alliance partners”.
The new Airbus A380 aircraft is deployed with 526 seats, eight in First Class, 98 in Business Class and 420 in Economy Class. It’s extremely comfort interior and lavish design make flying on an A 380 different than any other carrier.
At present, Lufthansa is operating flights to Johannesburg, Beijing and Tokyo on its Airbus A380 aircraft.
