Oman Air, the national airline of Oman, held an interactive presentation at the Oman Tourism College in collaboration with Airbus, which was designed specifically to instigate young minds for bringing about sustainable developments to the future of aviation.
Valuable information regarding air traffic trends and technological breakthroughs in the aviation industry was shared during the presentation, which is predicted to help achieve sustainability in the aviation industry by the year 2050. The developments are sought to bring about new revolutions both in the air and on the ground.
The presentation was specifically designed to trigger the younger minds to innovate aviation solutions and alternatives in sustainable terms, as the company recognizes the huge role that the younger generation will be playing in bringing about the much-needed breakthroughs in the industry.
Attendees were also shown a special screening of Airbus’ ‘Smarter Skies’ movie, which is the latest instalment of a complete documentary series titled as ‘The Future by Airbus’. The segment demonstrated various ideas and technological breakthroughs expected to bring about revolutionary changes in the industry.
These concepts look beyond the idea of just aircraft design and focus on operational changes that will be made both on the ground and in the air. The changes will then seek to minimize flight delays, lower harmful emissions and also save passenger’s valuable time, hence seeking means of sustainability in the future of aviation.
Oman Air has long recognized the importance of investing in young minds in order to bring about new and innovative ideas that could change the face of the aviation industry.
