The Doha based carrier has stated in a recent release that Qatar Airways passengers ticketed on contract LONR044 VFR fares, have been arriving at the airport with only “one” baggage weighing 33 kilos. However, the maximum weight of each bag permitted according to the standards is 32 kilos or less.
Therefore, the airline advises that where the entitlement of free baggage allowance is 33 kg, passengers must pack them into smaller bags that do not exceed 32 kg in weight, bearing in mind that 33 Kg is the total weight and not a piece system.
Also, passengers may divide the allowance of 33 kilos between two bags. This will help travelers to have a smooth check-in, saving time and disappointment of being advised to either repack their items into smaller bags or leave them behind.
Qatar is a prominent International carrier and well known for long-haul flights to Manila, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Islamabad, Delhi and many destinations across the world.
