On Thursday, Singapore airlines declared that it will add one more flight to its already impressive 3-flights-a-day operation, now making it 4 daily services to/from London Heathrow terminal 3. In a circular to Travel Agents, the airline announced that it was pleased to introduce a fourth daily flight between London Heathrow and Singapore from October this year.
Singapore Airlines is already regarded as one of the world’s leading airlines. It constitutes a remarkable fleet of 103 planes operating to 95 airports in 41 countries. It has the privilege of being the first ever carrier to operate the Airbus A380. The type of aircraft is Boeing 777-300ER for this fourth operated service. This aircraft features Singapore Airline’s latest cabin products. The increase in frequency will be carried out progressively, starting the week of 9 September when the number of flights per week will rise from 21 to 25. The full complement of 28 flights per week will take effect from the week of 21st October.
This will complement the onward connections from Singapore airports as well. Singapore already connects with flights to 4 daily flights Sydney; 3 daily flights to Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth EACH; 1 daily flight to Adelaide; 2 to Auckland and 1 daily flight to Christchurch. As a matter of fact, Singapore Airlines happens to be the sole carrier that flies to Christchurch with only one stopover!
The flights will be loaded for sale into the Travel Agents’ booking systems over the coming days.
