Staff of Qantas Airways Set to Strike

According to the reports more than 3000 Qantas Airways staff including ground staff, baggage handlers, catering and other employees are planning to go on strike for four hours on 20^thSeptember, 2011 which could upset flights for more than 48 hours. This action would be taking place by the Transport Worker Union (TWU) members as they have been patient for a long time and negotiated for the good faith and our trying to secure its members jobs, conditions and decent pay.

Although on the other hand Qantas spokesperson explained that the TWU significantly demanding for a pay increase and new flexible labor restriction which will result in making the carrier less competitive and prevent from retorting to instability in the aviation industry.
