Virgin Atlantic has made its domestic network of ‘Little Red’ flights a lot more prominent in the passenger community circles after introducing live acts and performances on board. The initiative is made in line with national heritage for which musicians, artists and stand-up comedians will deliver concerts, performances and exhibitions in accordance with an entire schedule. The air operator also intends to leave a new mark when it comes to facilitating its guests in the air, stepping out of the electronic zone of virtual entertainment systems and making its cabins an audience for live talent.

While musical and folk performances of the program are hailing from every region of the UK, including Scotland and Ireland, Virgin Atlantic has been implementing similar unique concepts for its long-haul intercontinental operations as well. In February, British artist Ben Aine got to exhibit his works on board routine flights to New York from London Heathrow, during which the passengers could also purchase productions on lesser rates. Furthermore, a mini bar concept has also been launched for offering cocktails for passengers. Both of these exclusive services were administered for upper classes among the passenger cabins.

The ideology of these programmes is backed by none other than Sir Richard Branson himself, the founder of Virgin Atlantic. He intends to revitalize the domestic flying sector of the UK by stating to give it a ‘shake up’. Little Red is the domestic network of flights based in London’s Heathrow Airport under Virgin Atlantic, under which 6 daily flights to Edinburgh, 4 daily flights to Manchester and 3 daily flights to Aberdeen are operated consistently. Being based in the UK, the air carrier chiefly faces competition with British Airways for both domestic and international routes.
