Las Vegas is the city that doesn’t need any introduction as it is already in the list of most famous cities in the world. It is the most populous city in Nevada, United States. The city has an international repute for gambling and is famous for being home to several casinos and related entertainment.
This city is also well known for various forms of adult entertainments including some special acts and forms of dancing and modeling. This city has earned a lot of fame through films and television, where this city is known as the Sin City. Different locations including several casino resorts have been used in different movies and television programs. It is also said that Las Vegas is the city that never sleeps.
Fremont Street is the second most famous street in Las Vegas. This street is located in the heart of the downtown area. Fremont Street can also be called the casino corridor, as on both sides of this street there are many casinos and including some of the most famous casinos like Golden Gate hotel and casino, The Mint, Fremont Casino and hotel, Eldorado Club, Golden Nugget and Pioneer Casino. There are so many neon signs displayed on nearly every building and available place that this street has got a nickname of Glitter Gulch.
This street has been filmed in many movies including the James bond film “Diamonds Are Forever” and many other movies also feature Fremont Street including “Honey I blew Up the Kid”, “Cool World”, “NEXT”, and “Dodge ball”.
Gaming, Tourism and Conventions are the main economic drivers of this city supporting restaurant and retail industries. This city is home to headquarters of two of the largest gaming companies in the world, one is the MGM Resorts international and the second is Harrah’s Entertainment. Several other companies taking part in the manufacturing of slot machines and other electronic gaming machines are also located in the Las Vegas.
RTC Transit, a public transportation system provides bus service throughout Las Vegas and other suburban areas of the city. Three airports serve the city; McCarran International Airport is the main airport catering most of the international and domestic direct flights to Las Vegas and also serves for chartered and cargo flights. Other two smaller airports are North Las Vegas Airport and Henderson Executive Airport; both of these airports serve for smaller aircrafts including some chartered flights and general aviation traffic.
