The mystic country of Bhutan is surely a unique place to spend a vacation in. Thimpu is the capital of the country and a historical city with the traditional Buddhist architecture. Bhutan is the last of the great Himalayan Kingdoms and that’s more evident in no other place than the Bumthang Dzongkhag. The unaltered Tibetan life style and architecture is surely an amazing sight to behold. Phobjika valley is another great place to visit in Bhutan with its excellent trekking experience, beautiful flowers and small traditional villages. Camping in the valley is allowed with the permission from the local tourism board and will surely be a great opportunity to observe this ancient land up close.
If you are adventurous enough then you can take the ultimate adventure of Snow man Trek. It is a 25 day high altitude trek to the remote village of Launa in the Himalayas. This experience in the peaceful Himalaya in the company of just your fellow trekkers and probably a few mountain goats can be relaxing and adventurous at the same time.
