This more than 2700 km Long River passes through six countries and is the fourth longest river of the continent. It is also famous for its waterfalls and none is more beautiful than the Victoria Falls. The Batoka Gorge just below the Victoria Falls is one of the best point in the Zambezi river for rafting.

The river is wild so according to the regulations emplaced by the authorities children under the age of 15 cannot raft in the river. You need to be physically fit enough to climb the gorge as it is quite steep and most tourists find it even tiring than the rafting in the river. You will be accompanied by a professional fresh water rafter who will know what to do if you get into any unexpected trouble. So the best time for an extreme adventurous rafting is in the months of August till February.
