This is New Zealand’s most iconic treasures, the world’s oldest dinosaur that is still alive today. It is 225 million years old and only 2.5ft long. The exhibit provides a special eco-system which helps the Tuatara to thrive in.
Coastline Exhibit: This exhibit is near the actual coastline and provides a perfect habitat for the blue penguins to swim in. this exhibit is also attached to the sea lion exhibit and one for different shore birds. Being near the actual ocean makes it more cost effective and natural for these animals to live in.
Native Bird Exhibit: This exhibit protects some of New Zealand’s most endangered bird species therefore it attracts the largest number of people. List of different birds here is incredible including everything from kiwis to the tui, bell bird, the Kea, the Kakapo (flightless parrots) etc.
