Good news arrives for Honolulu as Polynesian Adventure Tours/Gray Line Hawaii, a Norwegian Cruise Line company has been reported to bring seven open-top, double-decker tour buses to Honolulu. This move is expected to bring home 60 additional jobs.
As stated by The Honolulu Star- Advertiser on Thursday, the company is planning to invest more than $ 3 million in this service sector especially at a time when tourism is facing many obstacles. However, the cruise line has been expanding its land services ever since it acquired the tour company back in 2004.
Due to start off in the later part of this month, these double-deckers are aimed at offering sightseeing tours. The busses are bright red in color and have an Island theme and are required to drive the tours from Waikiki to downtown Honolulu with intervals in between. These busses are similar to the contemporary busses used in major tourist destinations such as New York and which were originally used in London.
