Ring the New Year gong at Hong Kong’s NYE! The fireworks will not only explode over the island city but also over the harbour and at sea, every year, as the New Year celebrations continue to evolve. Victoria Harbour glistens like a gem in the night, and the LED displays flicker in the waves hitting the beach. Hong Kong has its own NYE traditions, one of them being the “Shooting Stars”. An hour before the clock strikes midnight, the dazzling ‘falling stars’ cross the skies over Hong Kong, giving a chance for the jubilant crowd below to make a wish.
