A French and American settlement- Da Nang is beautifully nestled amongst Ho Chi Minh and Hanoi city, Vietnam. As soon you step into the main hall you will find a sign that says Van Giao Nhat Ly which means ‘All religions have the same reason’. Another worth-visiting building is of Danang Cathedral that is more commonly known as ‘Con Ga’ Church amongst the natives. The Cathedral was constructed during the French reign of 1923 and now days it also features specific timings for prayers.
Hai Van pass is an amazing and alluring attraction of Da Nang which is declared to be the highest pass of Vietnam, elevated at the height of approximately 1,500 kilometres. It is very famous with the name of ‘pass of the ocean cloud’ and is a very magical and breathtaking site of the city. From the top you can have a bird’s eye view of the sea, Son Tra Peninsula, Tien Sa Port and Danang city. Don’t forget to visit the Marble Mountains that comprise of a large variety of limestone outcrops riddled with caves (Vietcong hideouts and Buddhist temples). The place is also extremely popular for the astonishing and awe inspiring marble crafts. You would be enthralled and excited to hit the 400 ancient villages of Non Nuoc Arts.
The historical work also symbolizes the presence of old pagodas in the area. Da Nang also houses a museum with the name of Cham that contains a wide agglomeration of old idols and statues of Champa Kingdom. The museum was constructed in 1915 and possesses almost 2000 distinctive small and large sculptures (1,200 objects are reserved in the storehouse, 187 objects in the garden and 288 are on display inside the museum). Apart from it there are many other old spots in the city, you must visit. So get ready and pack up your belongings for travelling towards the gleaming city of Da Nang.
