If you want to visit some of the most famous and alluring landscapes of Africa, then your choice should be nothing else but the picturesque city of Arusha that is encircled by the most bewitching and awe-inspiring natural sceneries. This city is located in the northern side of Tanzania which is the presenter of many cultures. Situated on the foot of Mount Meru, it draws the attention of thousands of people who take cheap flights to Dar es Salam to have the most amazing and mesmerizing time of their lives.
Because of its proximity to Mount Kilimanjaro, Tarangire National Park, Olduvai Gorge, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti, the place is very well-known and is regarded as the best-loved destination for the tourists. With an elevation of about 1,400 metres, the place features a low and pleasant climate which is crowded by the visitors throughout the year. It is a multicultural city of Hindu, Muslim, Jewish, Anglican and Catholic communities and stands as the flourishing tourist industry amongst the other notable areas of the world.

The place act as an oasis of very appealing and fascinating attractions, like its own Arusha National Park, which is located on Mount Meru at the height of about 4566 metres. Although the park doesn’t comprises much of the land area but is very popular for some of the most awe-inspiring and jaw dropping landscapes and is categorized by three different areas; towards the western side there lies the river Jekukumia , the south-eastern region is a grassland which owns the Ngurdoto Crater and the north-eastern part serve as the home of waders or shorebirds and also the alkaline lakes of Momella, which is blanketed by algae of distinctive colours. The second largest peak of Tanzania which is Mount Meru, is just on a distance of about 60 kilometres in the eastern side of the park. The park is situated some 25 kilometres away in the eastern part from the city and 35 kilometres from the airport of Kilimanjaro.

Lake Manyara
Another allurement here is the lake Manyara which is located in the suburbs of Arusha and is known to be ‘the lowliest lake of Africa’. It is undoubtedly the haven of abundance of wild life and amazing landscapes. The name has its origin from the word emanyara of Maasai language which is plant species of Euphorbia tirucalli and is abundantly found in this region. The lake covers an area of about 231 square kilometres and its suburbs provide shelter to a number of wild animals such as giraffes, warthogs, buffalo, wildebeests, elephants, impalas and hippos. Also the area provides an excellent opportunity to the bird-lovers to spot some of the most beautiful and colourful birds and it has been recorded that there are approximately 300 migratory birds such as Grey-headed Kingfisher, Long-crested Eagle and flamingo.
Beside there are some other dazzling spots as well like Arusha cultural Heritage Centre (which is an ideal representation of Tanzania’s present and past 120 different tribes boasting of a number of books, clothing, artefacts, gemstones and carvings).
