Starting with San Juan itself, this is a beautiful colonial city with a hip lifestyle and offers a lot of stuff to explore to its visitor. It is the second oldest European settlement in the Americas and dates back to the 16th century. The biggest attraction of the city is the historical Spanish forts that were built to protect the San Juan harbour from the pirates, yes the pirates of the Caribbean. Most famous of the forts in the area is the gigantic El Moro which is one of the largest forts built by the Spanish in any of their colonies in the Americas. San Juan’s beaches and the coral reefs along them are where you will find the most of the tourist to the island heading to, the reason being the beaches that are soft and white and the coral reefs of the San Juan that holds seven different ecosystems in them that are surely worth observing.

This is a heaven for the surfers worldwide with its strong breaks and surfs. Rincon is considered as one of the two top surfing destinations in the world other being the islands of Hawaii. Rincon waves are as close to a perfect wave as it can get breaking somewhere between 2ft to 25 ft and providing an awesome surfing experience. The area is also rich in marine life and you can always hire the scuba diving or snorkelling kit from your resort and dive in Rincon’s clear waters to observe it closely.
