Europe is the hottest ever destinations for travelling. The most visited cities of Europe include Paris, London and Barcelona with millions of visitors at annual basis. However, some of the cities in Europe are really disregarded. Let’s have a look at these cities and you could find one for your solitary or peaceful vacation with a partner away from the crowded cities.
5. Monaco
This beautiful small Monaco city-state receives annual overnight tourists up to 292,000 only, but the people visiting the place are often extremely affluent and authoritative. This place is visited mostly by oligarchs and less by hitchhikers. For wealthy travellers, there are beautiful places to park their cruises on the French Riviera and another worth-seeing sight is Monte Carlo with casinos. It also has places for less wealthy tourists, such as the great stop of Oceanographic Museum of Monaco.
4. San Marino – just 139,000 visitors annually
Liechtenstein seems vast when compared to tiny 60 sq. km San Marino. The small size of San Marino is exactly a reason behind less number tourists and most of the visitors don’t actually stay there for a night. However, people spending a night over there can visit San Marino’s nine municipalities and castles. People can also explore its history which is world’s ancient republic.
3. Belarus – merely 119,000 visitors annually
Belarus is every so often termed as “Europe’s last dictatorship,” which is in itself an explanation for least number of visitors to the country. However, visitors remain secure within the premises of country even though its political system is almost hampered. The reason for least number of visitors is fewer iconic attractions for drawing the interest of visitors. Minsk, the capital city, is a beautiful and attractive city though where few days can be passed.
2. Liechtenstein with only 54,000 visitors annually
Liechtenstein is very small in terms of inhabitants i.e. 36,000. But it is doing a pretty good job in travel and tourism, considering its limitations. The small domain is merely 160 sq. km, or one fifth of the entire size of San Francisco, and is raised in mountainous ranges amid Switzerland and Austria. Some of the sights worth seeing in the capital city of Liechtenstein-Vaduz include castles and vineries etc. You can rule the country rather than just visiting it i.e. the whole country can be rented out for only $70,000 per night. Residents will be there –so it’s more like partaking it with them–but more enchanting is that you can drink together with crown prince and a 150 more guests.
1. Moldova – 11,000 visitors only Every Year
Moldova is the least visited country all over Europe, begging the question, why does it receive so few tourists? A lot of reasons are there; location – it’s hard to get to Moldova because of its presence between Ukraine and Romania; fewer attractions – although there are few excellent vineries there but it lacks enchanting tourist attractions. But it is the best place to enjoy the European Travel Game with your friends.
