You can start the visit to the country by travelling to the historical city of Saint Louis, the first French settlement in West Africa. The historical buildings of the town provide an insight into the architecture of the colonial era. It is also a great place for a relaxing vacation as it still offers the scene of the 19th-century town, with its horse-drawn carts and small shops.

Soumbedioune is the famous beach of the city with its fine sand and turquoise green water; you can get the best view of the beach in the evening when the fishing boats are returning to the beach after a day at the sea.
Club Thiossane is the most famous nightclub of Dakar and has got an international recognition because of its music, festivities and the amount of fun it can provide to its visitors. The club is jam-packed most of the nights especially on weekends so it is a good idea to make your reservation a little earlier through your hotel. There are many other famous bars and nightclubs in the city where you can have a good time. So the country of Senegal has a lot to offer to its visitor and that too with a small price tag.
