A coastal city, yet the tremendous urban area, Cape Town is the richest place to make connections with nature. I still cherish my first ever encounters with the mountain ranges, sparkling beaches, grassy lands and fragile flora and fauna of South Africa’s marvellous city, Cape Town.
Ascend the heights of Table Mountain
Be awe-inspired by the aerial view of the rambling city and observe its scope after ascending Table Mountain. While there are numerous routes to climb the heights of the mountain through Plattekloof Gorge, off Tafelberg Road, Skeleton Gorge, Kirstenbosch Gardens and much more with the incredibly stunning views all along the way, but my hot favourite happens to be a thrilling ride of the cable car. My eyes still crave for the sights specifically at the time of dusk and dawn.
And if you are lucky enough to be travelling with your family, allocate one complete day to the picnic at the Table Mountain. Lofty trees, clear flowing streams, enchanted gardens make views that freshen up the eyes and soul. Lush is the word to describe the emerald beauty in the vicinity of gleaming mountain ranges.
Shop some great collection of Wines from the Winelands
Didn’t your British friends ask you to bring some red wine? Visiting Cape Town and not bringing some red wine at home country would be a dead right SIN. So, rent a car and drive an hour to explore the iconic vineyards of Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, and Paarl in the close proximity of main city area towards Western Cape. These small towns are surely a treat to nature-lovers with the beautiful narrow passages and some stunning streets at the altitude. The town is a home to one of the most prestigious universities in South Africa. Luckily, I had a company of an old hand, so we managed to surf a little farther into Darling and Elgin. These valleys are well-known to have a picturesque and undulating terrain that offer enough opportunities to immerse in the rustic charms of blossoming wine-producing regions.
Drive through the legendary Cape of Storms
Do you also fancy long drives? What could be better than having your romantic partner beside you, hands in hands while you venture one of the most picturesque drives in the world? Take in the charming seashores dwarfing the False Bay and Atlantic Seaboard. As we notice the remarkable influences of British, Dutch and Cape Malay, Cape Town boasts the wonderful blend of multi-cultural people all along your ride. Breathe in the mind-blowing views and fresh air during your ride. Getting through the immaculate beaches, the fishing port of Hout Bay and arriving at the Chapman’s Peak Drive is, undoubtedly, going to be an amazing experience of your lifetime tours.
