Happy New Year to everyone reading! We’re now properly into 2025, and I’ve just about managed to burn off all that Christmas turkey and mince pies. Now that I’ve left the holiday indulgence behind me (and can fit into my jeans again), I can focus on something far more exciting: travel!
If travelling wasn’t on your New Year’s resolutions list, pretend it was; I won’t tell anyone! Luckily, I’ve already put together a list of some of my favourite destinations to help make 2025 your most exciting year yet! And the best part? You can book flights to all these locations (and many more) through our website, which you can reach by clicking here!
Zimbabwe
Zimbabwe is one of the most popular destinations for people who book through Travel House UK, and for good reason—if you haven’t considered It, then maybe you might change your mind after I tell you all about it!
When I think of Zimbabwe, I think of Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, where the sheer force of water will make you feel like you’re standing in the middle of a movie set (but real life, even more remarkable). If safaris are your thing, Zimbabwe’s got you covered with wildlife-packed parks like Hwange, where you can spot everything from elephants to lions *without* a Netflix subscription. But it’s not just about the animals—Zimbabwe has some seriously stunning scenery, from mountains to sprawling savannahs, that’ll make your social media pop off. Plus, the locals are super friendly, and the cities, like Harare and Bulawayo, are full of history, culture, and a vibe that’s hard to beat. So, whether you’re after some adventure, stunning views, or just an excuse to tell people you saw Victoria Falls in person, Zimbabwe’s the place to be in 2025! And with flights to Zimbabwe starting from £446.49, it’s almost criminal to say no!
Australia
Wait, do you hear that? Oh, it’s just Australia calling out your name, and believe me, you will want to answer! Whether you’re snorkelling with turtles in the Great Barrier Reef, catching some rays on beaches like Bondi (where it’s practically a crime not to have a surfboard), or wandering through the Outback like a true adventurer, ‘Straya’s got it all. And let’s not forget the wildlife – where else can you chill with kangaroos, cuddle a koala, and spot a wombat doing its adorable thing? I will avoid the kangaroos after seeing one too many videos of them engaging in hand-to-hand combat with my fellow humans, but each to their own.
The cities are just as incredible, with Sydney’s iconic Opera House (as seen in a gazillion movies, such as The Matrix, The Great Gatsby and even for a brief moment in Mad Max: Fury Road, to name but a few) and Melbourne’s artsy vibe that screams “Instagram content.” Plus, the Aussies are some of the most chill and friendly people you’ll ever meet, always up for a laugh and a cold brew (and are we going to pretend that the Aussie accent isn’t the most charming one of them all? Naur!!). Flights to Melbourne start from £615.89, leaving plenty of wiggle room to stock up on sun cream (you’ll need it!) and insulated flasks to keep your iced lemonade nice and cool. So, if you’re looking for sun, wildlife, and more “G’day mates!” you can shake a boomerang at Australia’s spot in 2025!
Bangladesh
If Bangladesh isn’t on your travel list for 2025, it should be! Bangladesh has so many twists and surprises that it’s difficult for me to know where to begin! For thrill-seekers, why don’t we start with Dhaka’s chaotic, buzzing streets that’ll make you feel like you’re in the heart of an action movie but with way more curry? And traffic. Lots and lots of traffic. If the urban jungle of Dhaka isn’t to your taste, how about the actual jungles of the Sundarbans, where you might spot a Bengal tiger (no big deal, right?)? That’s something you’ll seldom find on your friends’ Instagram feeds! If ancient ruins are your thing, you’ll love exploring Mahasthangarh, where you can pretend you’re Indiana Jones (or should that be Harrison Ford?) for a day. Oh, and the food? Prepare to have your taste buds dance happily with all the curries, street snacks, and ridiculously delicious sweets. Friendly locals, vibrant culture, and a landscape from rivers to jungles—Bangladesh is a hidden gem waiting for you to discover!
And if you’re worried about missing out on the typical touristy experiences, fear not -Bangladesh has plenty of those, too. You can wander through local markets, hop on a boat for a peaceful ride through the country’s many rivers, or even take a trip to the world’s longest unbroken sea beach, Cox’s Bazar. Whether you’re looking for adventure, culture, or just a place where you can eat your weight in delicious food, Bangladesh has something for everyone. Flights to Dhaka start at only £466.32, so now is as good a time as any to jump headfirst into this fantastic country!
And that’s a wrap for today’s 2025 destination roundup! But don’t worry, I’ve got plenty more hidden gems to share in the coming weeks, so be sure to tune in next time for even more travel inspiration.
