A meeting held in the Dutse, Jigawa State at the 9th National Council on Tourism, Culture and National Orientation announced the much-awaited event of the year.
As a matter of fact, Abuja Carnival 2017 was supposed to be held in November 2017. Unfortunately, it has been cancelled due to logistic challenges faced by the administration. Keeping such challenges in view, Abuja Carnival 2018 has been announced well ahead of time to ensure the timely preparations for a successful event.
The memo presented at the meeting further introduces the theme “Creative People, Empowered Nation” which is scheduled for 16th November. The celebrations will last until 19th November 2018. The state is taking special measurements to disseminate the information by all means to attract both the local residents as well as international participants for the upcoming event.
Commencement of Abuja Carnival:
Established in 2005, this culturally-stimulating event aims to display the ground-breaking creative spirit of Nigerian communities. Different activities held at the carnival showcase the diversity of indigenous as well as cross-cultural people from all over the world.
