Acclaimed as a popular tourist destination and a natural wonder, declared by UNESCO, The Plitvice Lakes National Park, in Croatia is the oldest natural park in southeast Europe. 16 lakes of azure waters, splashing within the Park spell magic on tourists, along with magnificent pristine waterfalls. The tallest and most aw-inspiring waterfall in the area is Veliki Slap falls from 70 meters height.

A walk through the park is most recommended activity to enjoy the terrific scenery. Hours and hours can spend alone on a trail or can hike on a long, lovely trail with your dear one. Be the part of the beauty by treading on one of many trails, and immerse in ambience with its most natural form; waterfalls, lakes, unique flora fauna, and wildlife. Move around the park:
If you get tired during walk, then hop on a shuttle bus, runs through the park on specific routes. Also called a “panoramic train”, this little bus is indeed a great blessing in between your tread break. To romanticise your trip aboard on an electric boat, and sail over turquoise waters throughout the Park.
Where to eat:
If anxiety is hovering over you with the thought of 8 hrs long trail, then it’s best to snack out before setting up. A bistro – Licka kuca (Lika House) is located At entrance 1 of the Park. Here can nibble from local cuisines to traditional food of Croatia.
Where to live if it’s in plan?
If you are thinking that Park a place, where even swimming is not allowed, then accommodation seems an impossible demand—apparently. Then, hold on your judgment, please. You are going to find three hotels within the park near Entrance 2. Camp Korana, Camp Borje and Hotel Grabovac are well-accommodated campsites in the Park. You also can choose from a number of private accommodations in the village on way near the park.
Beware of:
Wait, if you are coming with any intention of swimming or looking for surfing, diving or any other water spot then, you are quite unwelcoming in The Plitvice Lakes National Park. For here water purity is meant to keep intact, so water activities are strictly prohibited.
