The Covered Bazaar or the Grand Bazaar is one of the oldest and the largest covered bazaar of this world that tempts plenty of all those people who garb flights to Istanbul. The Grand Bazaar Artisans Association has declared it to be the most visited monument in the world. A new restoration project has been started out in 2012 that will enhance the lighting, heating systems and the infrastructure of the market. The bazaar consists of kiosks that were built in 17th century and served the purpose of cafes.
