African Cup of Nations

Africans are crazy about football and if you want to know just how crazy they are then visit one of the football stadiums in Gabon or Equatorial Guinea who are the host of this year’s African Cup of Nations. This prestigious tournament sees 16 of the continent’s best football teams battle it out for the title of the best team of Africa.

Sauti za Busara ( The sounds of Wisdom) Music Festival

This traditional Swahili music festival is happening in the historical and gorgeous town of Zanzibar and the adjacent beach. The dates are 8^th to 12^th of February and it will showcase the performances of the best musicians, singers and dancers of the Swahili people. If you are arriving from abroad then most probably you will be taking a flight to Dar es Salam the capital of Tanzania from where a connecting flight to the gorgeous Zanzibar.

Marrakech Biennale

This international festival of contemporary arts will kick off in the historical town of Marrakech in Morocco. The festival will include the performances of various artists, talks and film screenings. The festival dates are 29^th February to 3^rd June and it will also show case the work of the top 9 video artists of Africa in its event called the medin-o-rama.

Festival on the Niger

This cultural festival in the country of Mali celebrates the music and traditions of the region of Segou region. The region has a rich culture and an exotic folk music. The festival also includes the performances of the best artists of the western Africa. This year the festival date is 15^th to 19^th February and if you are taking a cheap flight to Bamako then this festival can provide you with an awesome cultural of experience.
