But there are not many destinations in Africa that are known for their romantic settings that can provide the newly weds with a perfect starting ground for the beginning of their new relationship.
One place thou has all the ingredients of being a perfect honeymoon destination, it’s the Republic of Seychelles, an outwardly archipelago of 115 islands, has some of the most pristine beaches of the continent. As said earlier the country is a combination of 115 islands but three of them get a lot more attention than the others primarily because of their larger size, these are Praslin, La Digue and Mahe.
Mahe being the largest of them all which is also the seat of the government of Seychelles and it is also the island where you will be landing first as it has the country’s only major airport. Mahe is about 17 miles long and is only 2 to 5 km in width. As the tourism sector of the country is booming these days so you can easily get a cheap flight to Mahe from most of the major European airports. The hotels of Mahe are world class and there are plenty of them to choose from so you can easily find one according to your taste and budget. The biggest attraction of the island is its gorgeous Beau Vallon beach. The beach has a perfect tropical paradise feel about it with soft and white sand, turquoise water and palm trees providing a perfect place for relaxation. The beach is only a few miles out of the capital Victoria and if you have decided to stay in a hotel in the capital then you can take the local bus service that runs between the two places. There are quite a few resorts along the beach as well that can offer you with even better facilities than the ones in Victoria but they cost a lot higher as well.
The beach is famous for its water sports as well so you can hire the snorkeling, scuba diving or gliding gear from the resorts of Beau Vallon and indulge in these exciting activities. Even if you are just there to relax, Beau Vallon can provide you with a peaceful and soothing atmosphere to do just that.
