Sydney is the warm heart of Australia and with the most stylish lifestyle and vibrant nightlife of the country. But perhaps this is not the reason why you should choose this as your vacation spot, because in the same region Penang has a comparable lifestyle while the nightlife of Phuket is vibrant enough as well. The greatest attraction of Sydney is the place where you can see the real collision of the land and ocean, with angry waters of Pacific crashing with the soft sandy shoreline of the Bondi Beach. Thousands of visitors fly to Sydney for having a blast at the one of the world’s best beaches.
So if you are planning a vacation in Sydney this summer, after taking cheap flights to Sydney head to the Bondi beach, located 45 minutes drive from the city center. The strength of the ocean will depend upon the season in which you arrive there, if it’s a little too hot to handle for you then you can take a salt water bath on the either side of the beach, it is a great activity particularly for the kids. The waters may be rough but they are safe as there are two clubs of lifeguards at the beach patrolling the waters constantly. The only thing that you have to take care of is to stay within the flags that have been put in the water by the lifeguards, because if you don’t then there is a fair bit of chance that you will need to be rescued by the lifeguards in the end, so no need to be over adventurous here and ruining your vacation.
There a number of resorts and hotels on the beach if you want to stay there for a couple of days, and some fine cafes for lunch or dinner but be aware that alcohol is not allowed on the beach and is not sold in the places nearby it. The place is particularly flocked on the weekends with most of the Sydneysiders heading to the beach for an escape from the hectic daily life of the city. It is a perfect spot for a family vacation with the average temperature of the water staying at 21 degree centigrade. The water is surely rough but that is the real beauty of the place, so jump in for an adventurous swim in the angry Pacific. But if you think that’s a little too much then laying on its bone-white soft sandy beach and taking a sunbath under the hot Australian sun is relaxing enough as well.
