Singapore Airline, on Thursday, notified the travel agents certain commercial policy options that with the 4th daily flight service introduced recently on the LHR-SIN route. The said policy relates to the flights operated by SQ305 & SQ306 affected by the schedule changes: –
As per the airliner’s new release to agents, this policy shall apply to such passengers who hold a ticket number after they paid in full and such ticket was issued in the UK before 7th June 2012 and the travel shall be completed by 29th October 2012. It is applicable to following cases”
- A flight number change
- A misconnection in the original itinerary
Agents have received following guidelines for Re-booking:
Non-changeable ticket (V class) / or Changeable Ticket – for a Fee (N class)
· If automated system re-protection has been offered and is accepted, ticket must be reissued to new itinerary with nil additional collection.
· Where re-protection has been offered and flights no longer connect or meet the required minimum connecting time, agents will re-book in the same booking class/RBD where available to the same destination for a later flight or a date either side of the affected schedule change in order to synchronize onward connecting flights.
· Where the same booking class/RBD is not available to the same destination for a date either side of the affected schedule change or in order to synchronize onward connecting flights, agents will waitlist the next lowest possible booking class (V/N class cannot be waitlisted) and contact Singapore Airlines Reservations Dept for waitlist clearance and conversion to original booking class.
· Where the same booking class/RBD is not available for domestic passengers connecting on a 618 ‘through-ticket’, Agents will book an alternate RBD/Carrier as per the original Add-on contract only.
· Please note that all other rules and conditions of the applicable fare sheet/contract still applies.
Changeable fare/ticket (Q/W/H/M/E/B/Y/S classes and all Business/First/Suites classes)
· As per above – no waiver authority required for reissue to same booking class.
There is a possibility that agents may not be able to confirm to confirm the same class and additional fees may be applicable for agent services
General
- For schedule changes necessitating an overnight stay in transit (SIN only), please contact your agent or Airline Reservations Department who will assist with bookings involving overnight stops and accommodation requirements.
- For un-ticketed bookings, flights should be re-booked subject to availability and tickets issued in accordance with applicable fare conditions as available in the system after such change.
The airliner has apologized for any possible inconvenience, however has shown confidence that their fourth service from LHR-SIN will offer improved connectivity options for Singapore passengers.
