Travelling in any part of the world while being on a budget is always a tricky job, you have to make most of the arrangements a lot earlier to your arrival in the country. South Africa is no exception and its city of Cape Town is the most expensive city in the country. One of the major facilities that cost the most of the cash of a tourist to any place in the world is the accommodation and food. If you are venturing out in the wild in a mild climate then camping can be a cheap option but what if you are in cape town, you can not just camp out on the road. The trick is to find the cheapest possible hotel for your stay but one which provides decent enough services and also provide security from theft and burglary.
If you have enough Rand in the purse then you can book a good quality hotel from the airport right after taking a cheap flight to Cape Town. But if you think you will be on a tight budget during your holidays in the city then we have listed a few of the cheap hotels of Cape Town that provide decent services at an affordable price.
Villa Belladonna, Devils Peak
This 3-star hotel is just close to the Table Mountain and provides excellent views of the area. Not considered luxurious by any standards but it is believed to be a decent hotel that is equipped with all the basic amenities. The cost is pretty affordable as well; if you can share your room with another tourist then you can get it for as cheap as 11 GBP for the night, quite low if you consider the prices charged by the rest of the hotel industry of Cape Town.
David’s B&B, Green Point
It is another 3-star hotel with the much better quality of rooms and service than the Villa Belladonna. Located close to the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront it provides some awesome sightseeing and shopping experiences in the vicinity. The price is a little higher than that of Villa. You can book a single room for around 21 GBP while a double room will cost you around 35 GBP. The rooms are much larger and well kept than most of the other hotels in the area and there is a restaurant on the ground floor offering awesome dining.
