The name of the hotel is “Welcome” so how can you not feel it? To most people however this may sound rather cheesy but trust us when we say that this name is the most accurate. Finding a great place to stay which offers a great value for money is normally a daunting task but you don’t need to look farther than the welcome sign in Brussels. The welcome hotel is a complete gem as it is located right in the heart of the city and gives off the complete country Auberge inn feel. It even overlooks the fish marker for that accurate effect.
The owners are a husband and wife; Michel and Sophie Smeesters. They are proprietors and have put in the utmost effort make this the most unique and hospitable bed and breakfast in town. All of the 16 rooms are furnished in completely individual and unrelated styling. The furnishings are international travel themes such as, Tibet, Provence, Africa, Egypt, Jules Verne and Laura Ashley. And each one is set in its own high standard. They provide air conditioning even though it is not really necessary in some of the rooms, and high speed internet along with cable TV, a hair dryer and safe.
Services include a laundry service and with regular room service. Some of the bathrooms are palatial and even come fitted with a double Jacuzzi and a separate bath and shower. You even get two sinks and double dressing gowns. Some of the rooms have their own stereo as well and come equipped with lots of guide books for your convenience. There is even complimentary tea and coffee available in each room. If the view outside does not please you enough we are sure the unique interiors definitely will.
They charge for parking but as an advantage they provide a free scuttle to and from the Brussels National Airport. Other than this the hotel is en route of the Metro and you can virtually go anywhere you like on it. The breakfast options are amazing and continental in nature and you can always get extra croissants, waffles or coffee if you ask. And as for other dining options in the Marché aux Poissons you can find plenty of restaurants for every taste glittered all over the place. There are small shops, boutiques and much more only a few meters away and on season the Christmas market opens up just around the hotel and you can get great bargains on gift items and much more.
So plan ahead for a wonderfully charming stay at the Welcome hotel in Brussels. However be warned that you may usually need to book in advance as their guests tend to be extremely loyal as it truly is a love at first sight.
