Naypyidaw also known as Nay Pyi Taw is the Capital of Myanmar (Burma) and is located in the western side of Pyinmana and northern side of Yangon. It is Myanmar’s 3rd largest city with an area of 7,054.37 square kilometres and acts as a transportation focal point for Kayin, Kayah and Shan states. The city is categorized by different zones such as Ministry zone, Military zone, Hotel zone and Residential zone. To have an exciting visit to ‘The Seat of the King’ or ‘The Royal Capital’ that offers you many enchanting and delightful sights you can take cheap flights to Yangon, from where trains, buses and rental car services are available which can take you to the Capital Naypyidaw.
[/caption]The most notable place for the tourists is the Uppatasanti Pagoda that owns the antiquated tooth of Buddha from China which is the carbon copy of the Pagoda of Shwedagon. Its archaeological work was started in 2006 and in 2009 it was completed under the supervision of Myanmar’s military regime head Than Shew. Uppatasanti is a verse meaning ‘protection against calamity’ which is recited in critical time or when there is a fear of foreign attack. The pagoda’s awe-inspiring features are Maha Hsutaungpyae Buddha Image, a heightened Flagstaff, 108 holy Bo tree’s garden, garden with the illustrations of Buddhas, museum and many other mesmerizing areas.
If you are fond of having fun at water parks than Naypyidaw gives you a warm welcome at Ngalaik Lake Gardens which is an excellent resort located on Ngalaik Lake. The garden houses a tranquillizing beach, numerous water slides and beautiful landscapes. For those, taking a trip with children Naypyidaw has Naypyidaw Zoological Gardens with the wildlife of more than 420 animals including crocodiles, elephants, tigers, monkeys, leopards, deer, kangaroos, zebras and white tigers. Recently in February 2011 a Safari Park has also been opened there.
Uppatasanti Pagoda NaypyidawThis magnificent city also has a movie theatre for entertainment lovers, which is located in Junction Centre Mall. Myanmar Motion Picture Academy Awards are organized annually in Naypyidaw and are handed over to the top achievers of Myanmar’s Cinema. A tour the wonderful Naypyidaw would remain incomplete without some coming around to The Gem Museum which is ornamented with bewitching and astounding wall glasses of modernized styles. The museum has precious sapphire, ruby, jade and other valuable stones.
Naypyidaw is indeed one of the remarkable and bedazzling cities which have many other surprises yet to be discovered, once you have a voyage to Myanmar. The climate of the Naypyidaw is tropical humid and hot where the hot dry seasons make the months from March to May, unpleasant for the visitors.
