The Bund, also called as Zhongshan Dong Yi Lu is the symbol and the most famous waterfront of Shanghai (China) for hundreds of years. It is located on the west coast of Huangpu River and is approximately 0.93 miles in length. The most tempting and fascinating sight is at the west of the Bund where there are various 26 buildings of distinct Architectural styles comprising Baroque, Gothic, Classicism, Romanesque and the Renaissance, due to which it is also known as the ‘Museum of Buildings’. The flood control wall also known as the ‘Lovers Wall’ which is 1,700 metres long is situated on a side of Huangpu River and is considered to be the most idealistic place for tourists. So get ready and take cheap flights to Shanghai.

Waibaidu Bridge:
Also called as ‘The Garden Bridge’, constructed in 1906 in replacement of the wooden troll bridge (which was built in 1856), and the first all-steel bridge of China. It is featured in many films and a film critic William Arnold said that;
“Since colonial days, the focal point of the City of Shanghai has been the spot where the Garden Bridge crosses the meandering Suzhou Creek as it runs into the Huangpu River. It marks the northern boundary of the famous Shanghai Bund, and it’s managed to pop up in practically every movie ever made about the city”
Monument of the People’s Hero:
It is a ten-story pointed pillar, erected as the National Monument of China, which was built in memorization of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for their country during the revolution in 19th and the 20th centuries.
Bund Sightseeing Tunnel:
This tunnel connects the north of Chen Yi Square and the Television and The Oriental Pearl Radio Tower at Pudong. It is 646.7 meters long and is decorated with modern high technologies with the interior walls displaying patterns, pictures, pink flowers, yellow sea star views and strange geometric figures. At the completion of this entertaining voyage, the visitors are truly spell-bound.
Statue of Chen Yi:
Chen Yi statue is also located here; he is the founder of China and the mayor of Shanghai. There is much more to enjoy at this stunning place.
