“To get on in Australia, you must make two observations. Say, “You have the most beautiful bridge in the world” and “They tell me you trounced England again in the cricket.” The first statement will be a lie. Sydney Bridge [sic] is big, utilitarian and the symbol of Australia, like the Statue of Liberty or the Eiffel Tower. But it is very ugly. No Australian will admit this” (James Michener).
Australia is one of those magical and mind-blowing attractions of this world that houses a wide variety of many alluring and fascinating attractions- one of the breath-taking engineering marvel is Sydney Harbour Bridge that serves as the most notable and significant cultural icon of this planet. There are 6 lanes for traffic and there are two ends (the northern ones lies Milsons Point where as the southern end is located at the Rocks area). two 28-panel arch trusses have been used to make the complete the arc whose height varies as we move towards the central part ( 187 feet maximum and the minimum one is 59 feet).
It is one of the most popular tourist points of Australia and even during its construction; it has served as a prominent and notable feature of the city that caught the world’s eye. It one amazing part is the south-east pylon that can be approached with pedestrian walkway and there are 20 steps that tourists have to climb to reach the top.
