Ras Mohammed National Park was the Egypt’s first National Park and is situated about 20 Kilometers south of Sharam-Al-Sheikh on a slim-peninsula towards Sinai’s most-southern-tip. Diving in the National Park is allowed only in the designated areas and the Park is also to be left by the visitors by sunset. The place is also believed to be the only among the worldwide popular tourist destinations that has no effluent-discharge into its waters.
Among the most famous of the diving sites in the Ras Mohammed Marine Park include Shark & Yolanda Reef and the Anemone City. Shark & Yolanda Reef are surely the best places to visit in the National Park and gives its visitors an opportunity to see every existing fish species in the Red Sea including the scorpion fish and the Yolanda. The Anemone city is full of sprawling highways and the by-ways of both hard & soft corals hosting anemone fish as well as other fish species.
