At the same time, you can also find pure and genuine Indian food without any other combination. Do try the South Indian versions of idlis that consists of lumpy pancakes, steamed rice and ‘dosas’, thin pancakes and lentil-based crisp- all of them are served with various vegetables and sambhar. You can also try parathas that is purely the north Indian food.
Apart from its gleaming and wonderful restaurants, Sri Lanka is also very well known for its street food and sells many ‘lunch packet’. Quite cheaper and affordable, this stall food and street food attracts a large number of local people every day. There are also many bakeries, the city is speckled with and you can purchase a variety of snacks and small meals from there.
