Seychelles has always been one of the first destinations that the tourists looking for a romantic tropical paradise think of. These peaceful sets of islands with gorgeous beaches and stunning scenic beauty have always attracted the tourists towards it. La Digue its fourth largest inhabited island is one of its real tourist magnets. Its magnificent beach of Anes Source D’Argent is one of the most beautiful beaches that you will ever find in any part of the world. With its powder like soft and bone white sand the real attraction of the beach is its contrasts of colors. The black granite boulders on this white beach having lush green tropical forest in the background provide an excellent picture taking opportunity. If you take into account the turquoise water of the Indian ocean the scenery gets even more charming.
La Digue is easily accessible from the main island of Mahe where you will be arriving after taking a flight to Seychelles. There are plenty of hotels and resorts on the island that can provide you with decent quality of services although at a slightly higher price than the other islands. The resorts along the d’ Argent are a lot more expensive than the ones that are more inland.
The beach gives an impression of a fairy tale land rather than reality because of this perfect contrast of colors and also the fact that its natural beauty has remained unaltered to the most extent. Even the pathway that leads to the beach is an attraction in itself as it goes through an old coconut plantation. D’Argent has perfect settings for spending a romantic vacation where you can just relax on its long sandy beach or take a full body tan in a deserted place along its length.
There are plenty of activities to do while you are at the beach, the most favorite being the scuba diving as the waters along the beach are crystal clear and are rich in marine life. You can hire the equipment and a boat to take you to the deep sea from the resorts along the beach. If you are not a qualified scuba diver then get the snorkeling equipment from your resort and indulge in snorkeling along the beach. The lukewarm water of D’Argnet is also perfect for a shallow water swim. The picture perfect settings of the beach makes it a photographer paradise so do not forget to take your camera with you and take out some memorable photographs that will remind you of this gorgeous beach.
If you have time then you should visit the L’Union coconut plantation which makes the pathway to the beach as it has a museum in its building that will provide with a deep insight into the colonial era history of the island of La Digue. The Veuve Reserve is a place to head to if you are a bird viewing enthusiast as it is the best place to view the Black Paradise Flycatcher which is a gorgeous and endemic bird species of Seychelles.
